Nylon
Nylon is a synthetic polymer, specifically a type of polyamide, valued for its strength, elasticity, durability, and resistance to chemicals and abrasion.
The material is expensive to produce and, when used in the hands of a skilled tailor, it can be used to feel silky and smooth. For this reason, it is considered a luxury choice.

Origin & Source
The colony of Artemis produces Nylon in restricted amounts through complex hydroponic processes. The colony produces adipic gas from plant sugars and corn starch, and hexamethylene diamine from algae. Both of these chemicals undergo polymerization reaction to create chains of nylon-6,6. This process is supervised by Multilateral Base Control engineers, and sold in the SuppliOS machine in the Work Room of the Artemis Expeditor.
